Final beam placed at 3070 Bailey Avenue completed the building’s frame

BUFFALO, NY – Evergreen Health and affiliate Community Access Services (CAS) celebrated the topping-off ceremony today, Wednesday, October 15, for the new comprehensive healthcare center located at 3070 Bailey Avenue.

Evergreen Health and CAS are building the new location to ensure inclusive and judgment-free health care is accessible to more people in the community, with a long-term goal of eradicating health inequity through unconditional care.

The opening of the 36,000-square foot, three-story, comprehensive healthcare center is projected for 2026. See the building renderings here.

“Today marked more than just the placing of the final beam; it symbolized Evergreen’s commitment to ensure the community has the resources and opportunities for improving health and well-being,” said Ray Ganoe, president and CEO of Evergreen Health. “We look forward to bringing accessible community care to the Ken-Bailey neighborhood. Here, health equity will meet access and change will meet action.”

“Seeing the new healthcare center take shape is incredibly moving and we are so excited to celebrate this milestone toward advancing health equity,” said Kim Brown, executive director of CAS. “It’s not just about expanding medical and supportive services but building a space where neighbors can come for connection and to support their health and wellness goals.”

The comprehensive healthcare center will feature services from both Evergreen Health and CAS, including but not limited to primary care, pharmacy services, testing and education, community mobilization, gynecological services, care coordination, financial counseling, a food distribution center, multiuse meeting rooms for community groups and more.

The exterior of the new healthcare center was shaped by feedback from the community at various neighborhood events, block clubs and community meetings, in addition to input from community stakeholders and advisors and Evergreen and CAS employees.

Expanding access to unconditional care builds upon Evergreen Health’s mission to provide inclusive, compassionate, respectful and judgment-free services, especially for those who are living with chronic illness or who are underserved by the healthcare system.

Since 2003, CAS has connected the community to quality healthcare and supportive services, including HIV testing and counseling, health support groups, nutrition outreach and education, food donations and more.
